AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20redknob (34) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 18, 2014
Flat flavour, slightly sour smell. Unremarkable all around. Decent if you just want something easy at a party, I guess.

AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20Rangi (614) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 30, 2014
Really not an inspiring beverage. Was more like a plain pale ale than a hoped up apa. Fell very flat.

hahahaha very observant of you mate. I didn't even notice when I grabbed the next round. Was a brief meet up but a great chinwag. Seen and held a razor worth more than most my camera gear - the famous 1225. A beauty to behold indeed. Walked away in a better mood (good company will do that) and a small clutch of razors. Nay, Nay, Nay to the Sabbatical Naysayers 'round these parts. No sales, just good will as @Mark1966 was kind enough to lend a few classic razors for test shaves - I look forward to reviewing them on here very soon.

It's bad enough Canberra exists, yet an expectation of quality beverages to boot ?
*Rummages for said pitchfork*

Oh, whilst upon the topic, @Mark1966 I came across an article upon MSN's home page that may be of interest to you.
Next time someone questions your collection, particularly family, remind them of below article and how lucky it is your is razors...

Razor Rental in Canberra. Need to drop in sometime when I'm next in Canberra. Lucky you @stillshunter to be so close...

Caught up with @MrT with a coffee or two involved.

I ended up with some Catie's Bubbles LPV, and his Smoggie 620 for a loan. He's a good man this @MrT [emoji4]

And I introduced him to Bay Rum (via Dr Jon's "Anne Bonny"). [emoji6]

Angles take a lot of figuring when your tied to a sabbatical ... ... ... no matter how loose the guidelines are or they keep changing as sabaticees find "another" way to acquire stuff. Still sounds like buying to me: to obtain an item by trading of a medium (be it money or "stuff").

Yeah. Guess you're right on one level. Although the main point is not to purchase additional items but to use what you have to enjoy or trade for something else to try. It's acquiring through losing (or weighing up the cost). Usually through trades you aren't trading for the original sale price so you are actually going backwards...

Acquiring through losing (money or stuff) sonds to me like buying.

Sabaticees with their changing definitions and allowances are like lawyers. Lawyers play with the rules till the rules no longer actually do what they're supposed to do (laws serve the people, sabbaticals prevent collecting/garthering/acquiring). By playing with those laws/rules the lawyers get rich (P&C experienced sabaticees get heaps more good stuff).

Just be done with it fellas. Call acuiring for what it is. BUYING. Being a newbie here I've got nothing to tempt you blokes with, but if you've got too much stuff and you want to "unacquire" some excess product, you can unload it on me (except Conk's shave soap - @Mark1966 was right. It's a dog … … … with fleas).

Con Kazantzidis from Shave The Man has organised a Melbourne Wetshavers Meet-Up. For those who haven't heard of Con, he produces some of the very best shaving reviews on YouTube and is quite a popular guy with the wet shavers clan on Facebook. May be some of you travelling types might find an excuse to fly down to Melbourne and join the little gathering. Shaver Heaven guru @Anthony is rumoured to be gracing us with his presence. I'm hoping @Mong will be there because I know that he works close by.

When: Friday, 13 March @ 10.30
Where: Royal Arcade, Melbourne CBD

Good work posting this LaP. I don't live in Melbourne but was still thinking of posting for those in Melbourne. Con is quite the celebrity now in the Facebook shaving community. [emoji12]

Good thing no one is superstitious anymore... [emoji11]

Now this kitchen is kinda cool BUT where are the pics of the bathroom and particularly the shaving gear?

Are you planning to acquire it so you can shave in a period correct bathroom ?

Because I know a couple of you have young kids -

Birthday present idea perhaps?

Nicely done in the non pc category mate :)

Mine is too young to understand the wonderfulness that Bacon is but I'd be happy to use my stomach muscles to use putting the cooked jigsaw together.

Just bought 9 chooks today. Think I need to get cracking on the coop for them tomorrow.
