What's left after three pass. @filobiblic is right, size doesn't matter! First go with the new brush, was a little sceptical about 22mm knot. Love how much control I have of the lather painting. Combination of smaller knot, shorter loft and great back bone from the [emoji111] band.

darn! You must try one, I think you will like it considering you like heavy back bone brushes. This has very soft tips. How is the MdC going? I don't think I have seen you using it yet.

Shall do, loving the boar brush, feels like it holds a lot more than the synth, I'm planning on acquiring a badger brush next purely for scientific purposes and nothing to do my BAD disorder!

I'm not sure yet but I'm leaning towards a custom Shavemac, thinking maybe a Bulb shape 24mm knot, 54mm loft, silvertip 2-band so I am saving my pennies but am open to other suggestions.

About knot and loft - well I guess that's another rabbit whole
My suggestion: Email Bernd, say you want a 2-band silvertip brush in 24mm - what does he recommend. Tell him what other brushes you have, what you like and what you dislike about them and how you like to lather...and what you are want this brush to have.
He (and other artisans) can much better recommend what you are most likely going to like. Why? First of all he knows his knots way better than any body else and second he can put his personal likings aside - he wants you to be happy. I can only recommend from my VERY limited experience and it is very hard for me to set aside my personal likings...
What I know is for example, that I don't like pointy bulbs - but other than that I think any Shavemac 2-band silvertip with a ~1:2 knot:loft ratio is going to be a sensational brush!

Thanks @alfredus shall do, that's one of the things I love about this place it's full of enablers with great advice. I'm only a month or two into wet shaving and I might need to go on a sabbatical!
