With SR shaving we tend to learn a little more with each shave. Here you can help others with what you have learnt.
Very day that you delay learning the gentlemanly art of straight razor shaving is a day that you will forever regret. I only wished that I learnt in my teens.I see myself going the SR route in near future so I'll be following this thread with interest.
Don't know why this is in the Safety Razors section. I'm sure that I posted it in the Straight Razor section. The moddies must know best .
I can think of none of these snippets of sage wisdom that are not equally applicable to shaving with any kind of edge...
What about that one?Very day that you delay learning the gentlemanly art of straight razor shaving is a day that you will forever regret. I only wished that I learnt in my teens.
Well, I did learn to use a straight, and for several years used a Western kamisori that I made for myself (too lazy to bother with scales) out of a chunk of damascus I had lying around. I stopped when I started shaving my head. What about that one?

Goes for all razors...DE's, SE's,...The less pressure, the closer the closer the shave.
