I'm tempted to look at straight razors, largely because of how awesome they look on display and I want to be able to say I can use them. So in my mucking around on the internet I've stumbled across an interesting video:

I bought a Dovo Shavette to get into straight shaving. Takes a DE blade snapped in half so is easily fed and doesn't need honing.

Going to try it with a feather tonight, I was having problems with Personna reds from a sub standard brush. But I have all my proper gear again now.

I bought a beautiful kitchen knife in Japan recently, and some hones to keep it in shape. Once I am confident on some of my cheap knives I will move onto the good ones, then look at getting a proper straight razor.
