Birthday shave.
Soap: Chiseled Face Civet
Brush: Paladin
Razor: Colonial General Brass
Blade: Feather Pro Super (4)
Mrs Pbgoose bought the Civet for me a few years back and I pull it out for special occasions. Love it. It really epitomises the problem of perfumery in soap. You pay for perfumery in soap which makes for very expensive soap.:)

Pre-shave: Hot flannel, Pears soap
Brush: TroyCraft "Polar Nebula" 28mm AP Titanium
Soap: Pb Smokey Lavender
Razor: Blackland Sabre
Blade: Personna GEM Stainless
Post-shave: TND witch hazel, and done.
COTD: None, back to bed.

I've been down with a lurgy for the last few days. It's been a very long time since the last one (I missed out on the COVID fashion) so I'm being a total sook about it. So a quick two passes with my autopilot razor, shower and back to bed...

Although never having tried one, I always thought that those razors were RSOs. It is interesting that you could hone it to a shavable condition. What was the shave like?
I was able to hone it so that it passes the HHT. My two-pass shave (WTG + XTG) was comfortable and I ended up with a DFS. I bought six of these for $48 delivered because I liked the Red Beechwood scales and I figured that the worse case scenario is that I toss the blades in the recycling bin and reuse the scales. I have no idea how long they can hold an edge. The advertised hardness factor is 59-61. Only time will tell. 😁

Here is one of my old framebacks with new Red Beechwood scales:

Thank you :) I "may" have passed my man-flu on to Mme G, in which case it'll be far worse, believe me

Still loving the Smokey Lavender, which is just as well, it's going to last a long time yet :smug:
