I love Italian Soaps

Yep the Prorarso is this soap.

It also comes in this one which I've not tried.

Cheers Mark :) I see alot of love for the proraso cream but not so much for the soap for some reason

I never found any difference between the two. The tube lasted longer because it's airtight, still got my first from 2 or so years ago. My soap discoloured after a few months and the menthol appeared to fade.

I am almost positive that Proraso is Italian for "cream that regenerates in the tube"

We have new members - they must read this thread about the wonders of Italian soaps ...

The P.160 being the greatest of all time obviously !

Oh god here we go. It's back to the drooling, teary eyed, biscotti munching, up Marko's backside Italian soaps. Yeah they lather OK but are pretty damn industrial and utilitarian if you ask me. Why don't you all go to Rome or Venice, b**tf**k a gondelier and get it all out of your system.

You still on that diet? I think you need some carbs...

Yeah - don't know what his problem is, maybe he needs some smileys ...

@Pjotr - these are for you :cautious::LOL::love::sneaky::)(n):X3:;):confused::D:rolleyes:

You giving up the durries Pj?

No there's just so much going on here at the moment it's hard to get noticed. And I thought I'd attempt to nip the Italian sycophancy in the bud as quickly as possible.

Breaking out the P.160 in the morning for that little outburst. And yes, I will post pictures too.

:ROFLMAO:

Rats, should have thought to do that. Will have to be Friday when I'm home next. Maybe we could make it Italian Soap Friday ....

Of course! This is where my interest in photography converges with my increasing interest in wet shaving. Photos about everything I have and use in every conceivable combination…oh brilliant a Shave of the Day thread. Jeez, have any of you thought of that before?
OK, I'll get my Cella and Canon ready...

What a fantastic idea Marco. Maybe you should post your method for lathering Italian soaps? Complete with adjustments for the Coriolis effect. Because Italy is where all shaving, gentlemanly pursuits and civilised male behaviour started and I'm sure if you looked up your family history you would come across a few "fucking gondoliers" (courtesy of the Monty Python) and some traditional barbers too. You're a gentleman and a true font of all shaving knowledge. I'm in tears of joy already. @Drubbing , you see where your slavish addiction to Cella is leading to?

For the sake of all that is holy and unholy - don't do it. I can think of few things worse than seeing photos of members of this forum , foam dripping delicately out of their nostrils and a cheesy grin showing amongst the lather. No No NO.

If you slash your face because you don't know how to load an SE and post a pic that is OK though right GT?

You guys make me laugh - thank you!
