Okay guys, we are back and running again. Everything seems okay thus far but I have some more tuning to do. DNS and reverse names are set and resolving, most stuff works but if you run into something that does not then please note it below.
We did have an issue where I forgot to recompile the 'special' database connectivity into the webserver software.... so I had to do that. Completely my fault or we would have been back online before the DNS swapped over.
Just as a note, we are housed in the new IBM Softlayer facility in Sydney, which is back into the GlobalSwitch Datacentre (400 Harris St Ultimo). This is where we used to be years ago with my former employer's facilities, and it is arguably the best connected building in the country. Backup DNS and other services continue to run from Seattle, and the NZ server is retained for backups and 'new stuff'.
