What don't you like about the Bay Rum? I haven't tried B&M's Bay Rum so I'm curious what it's like.
Hey @Pbgoose I was foolhardy in my initial assessment. Off the puck, I didn't particularly like the (to my nose) sweet, medicinal scent. I also found it be very cinnamon forward. It reminded me of Big Red chewing gum. However, when I shaved with it, it was a completely different affair. I am a huge convert and really like it.

It has arrived! Even better than expected -

Took a while though!

5 September - picked up by USPS
11 September - departed LA (6 days from pickup)
12 September - "departed" (?) Sydney (7 days from pickup)
24 September - delivered Canberra (12 days from Sydney)

TWICE AS LONG from Sydney to Canberra as from Chesterton Indiana to Los Angeles and nearly double the time to Sydney.

[Sigh]

Beautiful.

When not using it you can see your daily shave in those doors as mirrors 😍

Yep, rhodium replayed goodness.

Not collectible as a result but this replaces my original user grade and becomes my user for the rest of my life - and probably into my sons!

I make that 19 days. I reckon that's pretty good by comparison with most of our experience at the moment...

19 days is very good especially the fast shipping component out of the US.

Yep, not complaining about the USPS service to Sydney at all - super fast in the circumstances BUT for it to then crawl from there to Canberra - when I knew it has already arrived in Australia ...

Congrats! glad to hear exceeded expectations, looks nice and shiny, must give the Wolfman a run in the sparkle department

The what?

Oh, that thing. Packed away for the auction next year

Yes, I am profoundly deaf.

OOPS - well that is awkward - sorry mate

What date code? Mines a 1966 L3. Looks no where near as good as this replated one, but gives a great shave (setting #6 for me hits the spot)

L1 - clearly the BEST year!

Replated in rhodium so very, very nice ...

(5 or 7 I tend to go to)
