Rare that I would shave two days in a row but I wanted to give the new soap I made a run.
Really good. For soap makers on the forum I set the super fat to 10%. Great skin feel.
Razor: Ever ready "1914"
Brush: Synthetic.
Soap: Recent.

Blade: Gillette Nacet (1)
Lather: Stirling - Electric Sheep
Post: Noble Otter - Orbit - Aftershave
Post: Barrister and Mann - Nordost - Balm

First shave with Electric Sheep @Nanook and I really like it. I was excited to try the mutton tallow base, and it did not disappoint. No problems with the citronella scent, it reminds me of all the hand disinfectants over the last couple of years. Nice combo with Orbit splash. Skin feels good now 2 hours post shave

That's good to hear (y)

I can't stand citronella even when camping, but for some reason, it just works in this soap. To the wife it smells like lemon grass so she absolutely hates it

What’s a pirates favourite razor??

The Arrr 41.. 😁

Semogue is a good lather producer but can’t help feeling the size isn’t for me.. pif coming up?

EmPire is a nice subtle scent that isn’t offensive. Everyone needs a squadron soap or two it’s just great #golocal

I had to satisfy my memory and of course, curiosity.
Schick "G" - phenomenal
Restored Rubberset brush with inexpensive badger knot.
Old style skuttle. Purely a photographic prop, I rubbed the soap on my face and lathered directly.
The soap is very good. I will see if I feel the same with my next shave using this soap and a straight.
While the vintage Ever-Ready and the Schick were wonderful I will return to my straight for the next shave.

Razor: Blackland Vector Polished Stainless Steel
Blade: KAI Captain Titan Mild (First ever use)
Soap: Oaken Lab Far Afield v3
Aftershave/Post Shave: Oaken Lab Far Afield/Thayers Unscented Toner
Brush: 28mm Dubl Duck Heritage Shaving Collection
Alum: The Stray Whisker Alum block (Osmo)
Bowl: Pereira Unbreakable Bowl

The Vector performed very well today. I might be a little out of practice with the Vector razor or its that I am just adjusting to the new blade but I did give myself a few small weepers but honestly they settled once I hit it with some alum and post shave products. I can't argue with the results though as I left with an extremely close shave.

I had no real intention of using the Vector but was inspired by the talk of it lately and I am glad I went with it and will probably enjoy it even more next time around for sure.
I have to admit Oaken Lab's Far Afield had me scratching my head when I first bought it but, so much so that I had to reach out to Oaken Lab to see if there was something wrong with it but as it turns out I just needed to give it more of a chance and work it a few times either that or it has just grown on me but by far the I feel the aftershave eclipses the soap in scent. The aftershave is a little sweeter and pleasant by comparison where as the soap is more earthy but I feel like I have come to enjoy it quite a lot and am glad to have it as its a great performer.

The KAI blade was surprisingly mild (go figure it only said mild on the box haha) and I perhaps tried to overwork the blade in certain areas I'm not sure but it was definitely a different experience from my usual Feather Professional blades but it did turn out rather well. I might have to do a little blade swaps during my next shave with this razor between the KAI and the Feather Professional to gauge how I really feel about it. Nonetheless it did well.

Overall I can't argue with the results.
Excellent.

P.S. The blade sits on the top cap much better now and doesn't get really stuck anymore although the feather pro fits better than the KAI blades by a hair and are much easier to remove than the KAI blades. I tried the Schick blade again but it still did not fit well so I aborted that pretty quickly.

Sublime shave just like yesterday's, but with a different picture... :smug:

Don't be surprised if I recycle this image in the future, I quite like it, even if it isn't anywhere near the studio quality we see from @lu20vt or @klinker (to name but two)...
amazing pic and setup :snaphappy:
